An often seen problem position may be that business for example through the years has outsourced its SAP running on a 3-5 year contract. The company wants before the contract expired a basis for decisions, respectively: a new contract with the same or another vendor; alternative to insource operations (again).
Consulting on kontraktstuktur and content, service levels, unit prices (typical outsourcing contract parameters are pricing per unit: Server, SAP system, Gb disk, etc. ..), benchmarks, etc. can be found in more serious consultancies as "shelf".
However, it can be a challenge for the company after it long has "closed" its internal operations organization to assess what is "actually needed in the engine room" because many technologies and services in the area is constantly evolving.
